Flow / Fluid-Structure-Interaction

Steady-state and transient aerodynamics, climatization, and particularly aeroacoustics demand an exceptionally high level of precision in the simulation.

In coordination with the client, we utilize the necessary simulation behavior, such as DES (Detached Eddy Simulation) or LES (Large Eddy Simulation). The simulation programs ADINA or PAM-FLOW are the most frequently used here. We also offer our clients highly specialized meshing services for other CFD-Programs.

The term Fluid-Structure-Interaction (FSI) is defined as the interplay of a flowing fluid (like water or air) with rigid or flexible moving structures, consisting of shells, cut membranes, or mechanisms. This relatively new engineering discipline is indispensable for the exact simulation of airbags, parachutes, sails, convertible tops, free flying objects, pumps, shock absorbers, or other flow-induced vibratory structures.

We offer the essential knowledge of the intricacies of the structural and fluid mechanics for such problems, as well as the excellent dedicated software ADINA. We offer you new paths of virtual development via this integrated solution of CFD-coupled-CSD in one program without interface losses.
