The basic idea of ADINA is the ability, in a single finite-element program, to perform comprehensive and complex analyses of structures, fluids, and their interactions.
This includes essentially all quasi-static, transient, dynamic and thermal effects, which ADINA can calculate through diverse implicit or explicit techniques.

A most impressive feature is the possibility, in one program, to solve and evaluate fluid-structure-interactions without interface losses.
